Nematostella vectensis

Microtubule architecture in Drosophila wing disc peripodial cells stained for Alpha-tubulin and F-Actin.

Drosophila wing disc stained for Discs Large and Phospho-Histone H3.

Scanning electron micrograph of a fly eye which expresses RNAi for Uba2 with an eyeless-Gal4 promoter. The eye is smaller than wt, and the ommadia are missarranged and sometimes larger.

GFP-marked Aos1 mutant clone in the leg disc. The clone cells express the Caspase inhibitor P35 and are thereby rescued from apoptosis. Intriguingly, nuclei of mutant cells (DAPI) are aberrantly positioned on the basal side of the epithelium, while ectopic F-actin accumulates apically.

“Iroquois wig”

A novel EMS mutant causing edema in the developing larva and pupa.
