Jung-Shin Lee
Postdoctoral Research Associate
(816) 926-4166
Email Jung-Shin
|
Jung-Shin was granted a Ph.D. degree at the School of Biological Sciences, Seoul National University in Korea. Her project in this laboratory is about the relationship of histone H3 methylation by COMPASS and histone H2B monoubiquitination, using Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model organism. Jung-Shin will study the molecular mechanism of “cross talk” between histone H2B monoubiquitination by Rad6/Bre1 and histone H3 methylation by COMPASS. |

Yoh-hei Takahashi
Postdoctoral Research Associate
(816) 926-4166
Email Yoh-hei |
Yoh-hei obtained his Ph.D degree at Kyoto University in Japan in March 2007. Thereafter he joined the Shilatifard lab. Yoh-hei is investigating the molecular mechanism of histone methylation and transcriptional regulation via COMPASS mainly with biochemical approaches. |

Edwin Smith
Research Scientist
(816) 926-4112
Email Edwin |
Edwin comes from Emory University, where he studied dosage compensation in Drosophila with John Lucchesi. Presently, he is investigating the role of chromatin modifiers in the regulation of transcription in fruit flies. |

PengFei Wang
Postdoctoral Research Associate

Before coming to the Stowers Institute PengFei was a Urologist in China. He has some experience with knock out mice and transgenic mice. Presently he is going to focus his work on the functional study of PAF complex and MLL complex based on the mouse model. |

Min Wu
Postdoctoral Research Associate
(816) 926-4112
Email Min |
Min Wu got his Ph. D. degree in Peking University in China and was a postdoc at Yale University before he joined Shilatifard Lab. Now he is working on the histone H3K36 methyltransferase in mammalian cell, as well as the mouse models of histone demethylases. |

Ben graduated from Kansas State University in December of 2006 with a Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Science and a Bachelor's of Science in Life Science. He joined the Shilatifard Lab in February of 2007 and is currently learning everything there is to know about Drosophilia. |

Ka Chun (Joe) Lai
Research Technician I
(816) 926-4166
Email Chun
|
Chun graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbanan, where he recevied a Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Engineering. A few months after his graduation, he joined Dr. Shilatifard's Lab in Saint Louis, MO. Currently, Chun's research focuses on defining the molecular mechanisms underlying leukemogenesis in S. cerevisiae. |
