Assistant Investigator since June 2005. Prior to coming to Stowers, Kausik was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Neurobiology at Columbia University, New York, New York in the laboratory of Dr. Eric R. Kandel from 1999-May 2005.

He received his PhD in molecular biology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York in 1999.

Wanda Colon-Cesario

Postdoctoral Research Associate in Si lab since February 2006.  Prior to coming to Stowers, Wanda was a Research Assistant in the laboratory of Dr. Sandra Pena de Ortiz at the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras where she earned her doctoral degree in Behavioral Neuroscience.

Edward Man-Lik Choi

Postdoctoral Research Associate in Si lab since August 2007.  Prior to coming to Stowers, Ed did a postdoc in prion research at The Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases, UCSF.  He received his doctoral degree in Immunology from The Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, University of Oxford.

Jason Gill

Summer Rotation 2008.  Jason is in the MD/PhD program at The University of Kansas.

Nancy Lane

Senior Administrative Assistant in Si lab since June 2005.  Nancy has been employed at Stowers Institute since August 2001 and worked in several areas of the Institute prior to joining the Si Lab.

Amitabha Majumdar

Postdoctoral Research Associate in Si Lab since April 2006.  Prior to coming to Stowers, Amitabha received his PhD degree in Biology at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in Mumbai, India.

Fengzhen Ren

Research Technician II in Si Lab since February 2007.  Prior to coming to Stowers, Fengzhen was a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at KU Medical Center.  In 1998 she received a medical degree at Lanzhou University in China.

Tomoko Sakai

Postdoctoral Research Associate in Si Lab since August 2006.  Prior to coming to Stowers, Tomoko worked as a postdocoral researcher at Astellas Pharma Inc. in Tokyo, Japan.  She received her postdoctoral degree from the Tokyo Metropolitan University in Tokyo, Japan.

Erica White-Grindley

Postdoctoral Research Associate in Si lab since August 2005.  Prior to coming to Stowers, Erica was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the laboratory of H. Earl Ruley, Department of Microbiology and Immunology, at Vanderbilt University.
